Ctenophora
Ctenophora are long, medium-thin diatoms with a thick silicified center. Centers help tell this genera apart, with a distinct circle shape and ghost striae.

Cells are 47-91 µm in length, 4.3 - 7.6 µm in width.

Rows of striae are 14-16 per 10 µm.

Central area is distinct and may have ghost striae

Larger specimens may become sigmoid at the ends, poles curving away from each other.
